Episode 04 · Releases Sept 29
What Do You Need to Know How to Do?
Some yeses are not blocked by fear or by time. They are blocked by not yet knowing how.
This episode separates having read about something from being able to do it. Competence comes out of practice and feedback, and it is what turns a theoretical option into one you could actually take this month.
It also names the trap on the other side. Preparation becomes a way of not participating — one more course, one more credential, one more year of getting ready. Knowing how never settles whether the thing is worth doing, and not every capability has to live inside you; borrowing competence from someone who has it is a legitimate answer.
Becoming a beginner again in midlife is uncomfortable in a specific way, and the episode sits with that instead of solving it. Depth and adaptability pull against each other, and there is no general rule about which one to feed.
What this episode asks of you
Pick one yes you cannot take yet because you do not know how, and take the smallest real step — one lesson, one attempt, one conversation with someone competent.
